BEIJING, July 23 (InfoChina) – China Eastern Airlines (NYSE: CEA, HK: 0670, SH: 600115) announced Sunday that it inked a contract with Airbus on July 17 for purchasing 10 A320s (including engines) to serve medium- and short-distance domestic passenger transportation.

BEIJING, July 18 (InfoChina) – China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH, HK: 1055, SH: 600029) will open a new route from Shanghai to Cebu, the Philippines, on July 27, which will be the company’s third route to the Philippines after those from Guangzhou to Manila and from Beijing to Manila with stopover at Xiamen.

BEIJING, July 17 (InfoChina) – China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNHY, HK: 1055, SH: 600029) announced Tuesday that it inked a contract for buying 20 A320s from Airbus, and its Xiamen Airline Company, which is 60 percent owned by China Southern, signed a contract with Boeing for purchasing 25 B737-800s on July 16.

BEJING, July 9 (InfoChina) – China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH, HK: 1055, SH: 600029) will cooperate with Korean Air in selling electronic tickets of each other as of July 10. China Southern then will sell electronic tickets of 13 domestic and foreign airlines under similar arrangement.
