BEIJING, June 11 (InfoChina) – Market hearsay has appeared again that UTStarcom, Inc. (Nasdaq: UTSI) may be acquired or sell some sections, after the company’s board of directors asked Wu Ying, former executive vice president and CEO of UTStarcom China, to leave and Lu Hongliang, CEO of UTStarcom, took over the company’s China operations.

BEIJING, May 31 (InfoChina) – China Telecom Ltd. (NYSE: CHA) will compare the testing results of the homegrown AVS standard with the MPEG4 standard and the H.264 standard before deciding which one it will adopt for its IPTV network, said Huang Tiejun, leader of the AVS standard working group, quoted by China Business News.
