Asiainfo appoints new board member |

BEIJING, June 26 (InfoChina) – Asiainfo Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: ASIA) appointed Zhang Rongzong, ex vice-president of Lenovo Group Ltd. (PNK: LNVGY.PK) since 1997, as a new board member, according to recent company announcement.
Zhang Zhenqing, president and CEO of Asiainfo, says that Zhang Rongzong has abundant experience in forming enterprise strategy, which will benefit the development of Asiainfo.
The appointment became effective on June 22, 2006.
Earlier this year, Yu Bing, former senior vice president of Lenovo, resigned from his posts of a member of directorate of Asiainfo Group, board chairman and CEO of Asiainfo Lenovo USA. Zhang Rongzong entered Asiainfo as a department head then. |
