BEIJING, July 31 (InfoChina) – Shanda Interactive Entertainment Co. (Nasdaq: SNDA) says it is more confident in its future than ever before despite that the company’s financials and stock price are still in dismal.
After six years of efforts, the company has reincarnated itself from merely an online game provider to one with diversified businesses, Chen Tianqiao, chairman and CEO of Shanda, said at the ChinaJoy Summit on July 27.
Chen divided the company’s “interactive entertainment” belief into three parts: contents providing, business mode and platform construction.
Chen said the company has begun developing and operating multiple contents and changed its business mode from charging by time to charging by demand content.
Chen said every change of the company carried huge risks, but the company stick to its goal and always end in successes.
Once dominated the country’s online game market, Shanda tried to build itself into a household entertainment provider, which made the company to see falling performance in the recent a half year.
Shanda would issue its 2Q financial report in August, which will check the success of the company’s reincarnation drive. |
