BEIJING, Nov. 15 (InfoChina) – China's booming mobile games market is expected to post sustainable development driven by pending 3G, which is a strong attraction to overseas service providers and game developers, according to the fifth International Forum & Exhibition of Telecom Value-Added Services.

However, foreign capital still has no access to the mobile games content sector according to market access restrictions.

Many participants at the forum said the bottleneck of China's mobile game industry is the content, while the lack of creative game products is the main obstacle in its development. They predicted the mature content production mode and abundant content products from abroad would have reference value for the industry.

But foreign funds can enter only the technology application sector instead of the content sector, according to Liu Qiang, an official from the Ministry of Culture. He said China did not promise the WTO to open its culture market, and many contents of information products are in the charge of the ministry. (InfoChina/Xinhua)
