BEIJING, Nov. 15 (InfoChina) - Sina Corp. (Nasdaq: SINA)’s UC, one of top three instant communication softwares in China, was hit by massive hacker attacks on November 12, the company admitted on November 14.
The company announced that the UC server had been back to normal from the severe standstill on November 12, but it will take one week to recover the previous visit counts. Moreover, the attack also led to certain economic losses to Sina. Therefore, Sina reserves the right to sue the hacker. It is learned that Sina’s UC software boasts 120 million registered users and more than 40 million active users. |
