BEIJING, Nov. 20 (InfoChina) – Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd. (Nasdaq: SNDA) will issue the new edition of its MMORPG “World of Legend” on December 18, indicating its thorough upgrade of the game begins under the CSP (come-stay-pay) business mode.
The new edition is also a preparation for the “World of Legend II” that will be issued next year. The “World of Legend” is a self-developed game of Shanda, put on the market in 2003. Since the company replaced the CPS (come-pay-stay) business mode with the CSP mode, it has provided a series of upgrade for this game, which makes good effects. The financial report shows that Shanda posts a 23.4 percent growth in operating profit in the third quarter of 2006, while its net profit rise from 16.7 million US dollars to 18.1 million US dollars. “The performance in the period proves the sustainable and scaleable development of Shanda’s CSP business mode,” said Chen Tianqiao, CEO of the company. |
