Brilliance Auto expects car sales surge of 70 percent this year |

BEIJING, Nov.21 (InfoChina) – Complete-car sales volume of Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: CBA) is expected to exceed 200,000 units this year, which will represent a year-on-year increase of over 70 percent and generate sales revenue of 31.5 billion yuan, Qi Yumin, president of Brilliance Auto predicted at the China Auto 2006 being held in Beijing.
Meanwhile, the company’s vice president He Guohua predicted that the company’s whole-car sales will continue rising next year, with a possible growth rate at 30-40 percent. He also disclosed that the company is to export its Zhonghua car to European countries including Germany as of next year, with an expected export volume of 25,000 units in 2007 and a total of 158,000 units in the next five years. It is learned that 60,000 Zhonghua cars will be sold this year, with 5,000 units exported, mainly to Egypt, the Middle East and Africa. |
