Actions Semiconductor becomes exclusive SoC supplier for GMI

BEIJING, Dec. 12 (InfoChina) -- Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: ACTS), a leading chip maker for portable consumer electronics, announced on Dec. 11 that the company had signed an exclusive distribution agreement with GMI Technology Inc., under which it would become the exclusive supplier of system-on-a-chip solutions (SoC) for GMI, a leading chip distributor in Asia.
It said that the agreement came into effect on Dec. 8.
Earlier, Actions Semiconductor reached a distribution agreement with Taipei-headquartered World Peace Industrial Group (WPI Group), the largest chip distributor in Asia. (Edited by Chen Dongyi,
