Brilliance Auto ships 3,000 Zhonghua cars to Germany PDF Print E-mail

BEIJING, Dec.22 (InfoChina) – China Automotive Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: CBA, HK: 1114) Friday transported 3,000 Zhonghua cars to the northeastern China port city of Dalian, where the cars will be shipped to German city Bremen.

This is the first batch of Zhonghua cars to be delivered to Europe, following the contact signed between Brilliance Auto and German automobile logistics company E.H. Harms, to export a total of 158,000 Zhonghua cars to Europe in the next five years. 

       According to the contract, 3,000 Zhonghua cars will be exported this year, and 15,000 units in 2007. The export volume will rise to 20,000 units in 2008, 30,000 units in 2009, 40,000 units in 2010 and 50,000 units in 2011.

 

       Qi Yumin, board chairman of Brilliance Auto disclosed that the company is to build an auto parts distribution center in Bremen to guarantee the after-sale service for the cars exported to Europe. (Edited by Sun Huanjie, )
