BMW taps China market via Baidu’s accurate ads PDF Print E-mail

BEIJING, Feb. 5 (InfoChina) – Baidu.com (Nasdaq: BIDU) is discussing with Bavarian Motor Works (BMW) for further cooperation on accurate ads in 2007, Shanghai Securities News reports.

In July 2006, Baidu released its accurate ads service that aims at specific consumers instead of the public, which goes along with the wishes of BMW.

In 2006, BMW achieved a sales increase of 51.3 percent in China, exceeding Audi’s growth of 39 percent. Its Internet marketing strategy contributed a lot to such a performance. BMW prefers ads launching on specific media especially the Internet to advertising in a popular style.

Therefore, BMW renewed ads contract with Baidu for three times in 2006. (Edited by Yang Liu, )
