BEIJING, Feb. 7 (InfoChina) -- Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: ACTS), a leading chip maker for portable consumer electronics, has posted a record high revenue for 4Q and full 2006 year, at 49.50 million US dollars and 170.4 million dollars, up 24 percent and 14 percent respectively.

The record revenue is driven by all-time high chip shipment.

In the fourth quarter, the company shipped more than 24 million units, accounting for some 50 percent of all chip shipments worldwide, according to Ye Hongnan, company CEO.

For the 2006 full year, Actions Semiconductor reported an operating margin of 44.7 percent and a gross margin of 55.5 percent, and a diluted EPS for each ADR at 0.87 dollars.

The company also estimates revenue of 34 to 37 million US dollars for the first quarter of 2007. (Edited by Chen Dongyi, )
