BEIJING, March 5 (InfoChina) – BMW Brilliance Automotive, a joint venture co-established by Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Limited (NYSE: CBA) and BMW, appointed former vice president Alfred Rupp to assume the office of president and CEO of the company as of March 1.
It is learned Mr. Alfred Rupp has worked with BMW Group for nine years. He joined BMW-Brilliance Auto in June 2006 and served as vice president in charge of production management.
According to Beijing News, now the position of vice president of BMW-Brilliance Auto is still vacant after Mr. Rupp was promoted. In accordance with the agreement made by Brilliance Auto and BMW before, the vice president in charge of production will still be dispatched by the German side so as to guarantee the quality of BMW cars made in China.
Former president of BMW-Brilliance Auto Eberhard Schrempf went back to Germany to serve in the headquarters of BMW Group.
