Software sector to gain policy support within the year |

BEIJING, April 2 (InfoChina) – An official document on the development of China’s software and integrated circuit industry consisting of various supporting policies in taxation and financing is expected to be published this year, according to sources with the Ministry of Information Industry.
An official with the Ministry of Information Industry said that the software and integrated circuits industrial development procedures will include fiscal and tax incentives, technical innovation and industrialization, market promotion, investment and financing, human resources security, standard and intellectual property right and legal responsibility. The procedure will fix some parts of the existing policy that need to be implemented continuously and strengthened by legal measures, which is good for the development of software industry. Meanwhile the procedure will support the fast development of software industry through preferential policy. Apart from this, it will also make supplement to the industrial policies in financing, equipment and software export that can’t be implemented well. According to the plan, China’s software and information industry will grow about 30 percent in sales on domestic market in the 11th Five-Year Program period (2006-2010) with sales topping over one trillion yuan by 2010, of which domestic software and information service market value will account for over 65 percent of domestic market value.
