Loss of China Eastern cut nearly 50% in Q1 PDF Print E-mail

BEIJING, April 27 (InfoChina) -- China Eastern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH, HK: 0670, SH: 600115) incurred a loss of 510.86 million yuan in the first quarter of 2007, down 46.51 percent from the 955.1 million yuan for the same period of last year, according to its unaudited quarterly report released Friday.

The net cash flow from operating activities of the company in the first quarter increased by 62.77 percent year on year to 2.553 billion yuan or 0.39 yuan per share.

HKSCC Nominees Limited remained the largest tradable share holder of China Eastern. Meanwhile, five new faces were seen among the top ten tradable share holders for the latest reporting period, showing market confidence in the company’s future performance.  (Edited by Chen Dongyi, )
