China Southern approved to establish Chongqing Airllines

BEIJING, May 17 (InfoChina) -- China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH, HK: 1055, SH: 600029) has just got the approval from the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC) to establish a joint venture airline company with the Chongqing Development & Investment Co., in which it will take a 60 percent equity.Information Times reported that the new airline company will have a registered capital of 1.2 billion yuan and engage in domestic passenger and cargo transportation.
