BEIJING, June 11 (InfoChina) – The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) recently accepted three research subjects undertaken by China Telecom Ltd. (NYSE: CHA) to become new proposal drafts, including the Y.2211, Q.sup56 and Q.sup54, according to a report by China Electronics News.
According to the procedure of ITU-T, new proposal drafts will be released formally after three months of public comment period.
The Y.2211 defines the IMS-based real-time conversational multimedia services over NGN (next generation network), while the Q.sup56 defines organization of NGN service data, and the Q.sup54 defines signaling requirements at the interface between SUP-PE and S-CSC-FE.
Besides, another two proposals led by China Telecom are also expected to be accepted by ITU in September. (Edited by Li Xiaoyu,
