China Southern and its Xiamen arm ink contracts for buying 45 planes

BEIJING, July 17 (InfoChina) – China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNHY, HK: 1055, SH: 600029) announced Tuesday that it inked a contract for buying 20 A320s from Airbus, and its Xiamen Airline Company, which is 60 percent owned by China Southern, signed a contract with Boeing for purchasing 25 B737-800s on July 16.
According to China Southern’s announcement on July 10, the ordered A320 aircraft will be delivered between March 2009 and August 2010, and the B737-800s will be delivered between July 2011 and November 2013. (Edited by Lin Fanjing,
