China Telecom’s B2C cooperation with Suning in full swing PDF Print E-mail

             BEIJING, July 30 (InfoChina) - China Telecom (NYSE: CHA, HK:0728), China’s biggest fixed-line operator, has stepped up cooperation with Suning Appliance, the country’s top seller of 3C(consumer appliances, computer and communication) products, by jointly establishing a B2C service platform.

The two sides vow to build the platform, Vnet.cn, a subsidiary website of China Telecom, into the best one of the country.

A “Suning Shop” channel would be seen on the Vnet.cn front page. The website also plans to provide business supporting system and petty charging service. And China Telecom will spend “a lot of advertising resources” to do promotions for the channel.

Suning Appliance, on the other side, would see to the construction and maintenance of the specific services on the internet, and ensure the Vnet users could enjoy the same price discount as the shop’s VIP members. The appliance company also agrees to make use of its shops resources to promote the related business of China Telecom.

Vnet.cn has about 40 million broadband household users, with a daily visitor flow of multi million persons. (Edited by Zhu zhu)
