BEIJING, July 30 (InfoChina) – Brilliance Auto has been rated at “hold” by Daiwa Institute of Research, which previously gave Brilliance Auto a “better than market” rating.

Daiwa also adjusted downward the target price of Brilliance to 1.9 HK dollars on the grounds that the company’s interim performance was not as good as expected.

During the first half, Brilliance’s sale of passenger cars was less-than-anticipated.

Daiwa also notes that the automaker’s plan to export autos to Europe this half year has been stalled by failing to pass the “crash test,” which may affect the company’s long-term profit margin. (Edited by Lin Fanjing, )
