        BEIJING, Aug. 10 (InfoChina) – China’s leading online job services provider 51 Job (Nasdaq: JOBS) posted a net profit of some 4.1 million U.S. dollars for the second quarter of this year, up 19.5 percent year on year, on total revenue of 27.60 million dollars, up 21.1 percent.

Despite the year-on-year growth, the company’s revenue and profit declined slightly from Q1’s 26 million dollars and 4.2 million dollars, respectively.

51job said that ad revenue from publications reached 14.10 million yuan, up 10.8 percent year on year, but the average revenue per page dropped 19.3 percent in spite that total number of published pages increased 37.3 percent, as a growing proportion of revenue was generated from low-priced cities.

Online recruitment services and executive search services contributed revenue of 9.4 million dollars and 600,000 dollars respectively to the company, up 29.3 percent and 2.8 percent.

For the first half year, the company saw operating profit at 11.20 million dollars, up 33.9 percent year on year, and net profit, 8.3 million dollars, up 20.4 percent. (Edited by Chen Dongyi, )
