BMW Brilliance expects 80% local procurement rise in 2007 |

SHENYANG, Sept. 10 (InfoChina) – BMW Brilliance Automotive, a joint venture between BMW of Germany and Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: CBA) of China here, plans to increase the number of its local suppliers to 100 by the end of 2007 and the amount of its localized procurement by 80 percent year on year to 3.6 billion yuan in 2007, according to the company’s PE Department.
The joint venture had 46 local suppliers at the beginning of 2006 and the figure rose to 60 by the end of 2006. Its local procurement reached 870 million yuan in 2005 and 2 billion yuan in 2006. (InfoChina) |
