BEIJING, Sept.13 (InfoChina) - China Unicom has chosen the Intelligent Service Gateway (ISG) of Alcatel Shanghai Bell, a leading telecommunications solutions provider, to support its integrated value-added business, announced Alcatel Shanghai Bell.

Alcatel’s ISG solution would help China Unicom provide abundant innovative and personalized service packages, such as streaming media, Java/Brew application, multimedia application and WAP IE.

The operator’s integrated value-added platform, the first one in the country, is to help customers develop innovative multimedia and voice application business.

Based on the application of ISG, the platform could realize uniformed management of charge service, business instruction information, users location data, strategy/privacy instruction and business content, which will bring China Unicom more efficient operation.
