BEIJING, Dec. 5 (InfoChina) – The GPRS network of China Unicom is expected to cover all cities across China in early 2008, according to Li Zhengmao, vice president of the company.

By far, China Unicom’s GPRS network has extended to more than 200 cities in the country, said Li at an industry meeting.

Li also disclosed that China Unicom has not started talks with Apple on introduction of iPhone to China market, but China Unicom holds an open attitude on this matter.

Revenue-sharing issue will be a negotiation focus for Apple to cooperate with China Mobile or China Unicom to sell iPhone in China, as it will be a new business mode for Chinese mobile operators to share service revenue with mobile phone producers. (Edited by Chen Dongyi, )
