China Southern reports high passenger transport volume in 2007 PDF Print E-mail

        BEIJING, Jan. 2 (InfoChina) – China’s largest airline company by fleet, China Southern Airlines (ZNH.NYSE; 1055.HK; 600029.SH), transported 560 million person-times of passengers in 2007, up 13.80 percent from the previous year, ranking among the top ten in terms of passenger transport among global airline companies.

Up to Dec.31, 2007, China Southern had safely flied a total of 4.6 million hours, and completed 9.187 billion ton-kilometers in freight transport in 2007, a year-on-year rise of 13.83 percent. China Southern’s parent company generated 2.4 billion yuan of profits in the whole year of 2007.

China Southern Airlines, boasting 330 airplanes currently, ranks the top among Chinese airlines in terms of passenger transport volume, flight line networks and fleet scale. (Edited by Sun Huanjie, )
