BEIJING, Jan. 3 (InfoChina) – China’s largest offshore oil producer, CNOOC (0883.HK; CEO.NYSE) announced that it had put into production two oil/gas fields in Bohai Bay at the end of 2007.
The Bozhong 34-1 oilfield could produce 4,800 barrels of crude oil every day from seven wells. According to planned development schedule, there are more than 20 wells in the new oilfield. And the rest of them will be put into operation in 2008, with peak daily output expected to reach 12,000 barrels, said the company.
The Jinzhou 21-1 oil/gas field, with 3.53 million cubic feet of natural gas per day from one well nowadays, is designed to produce 11 million cubic feet per day and 1,000 barrels of oil/gas equivalent at peak.
