BEIJING, Jan. 3 (InfoChina) – China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Ministry of Information Industry (MII) plan to hold a hearing in Beijing in mid- or late January 2008 on adjusting the ceiling price for domestic mobile phone roaming charges.

They said they have made a scheme, which will be discussed on the hearing and published later.

The hearing will be attended by representatives from consumers, operators, experts and related government departments.

China now has only two mobile phone service operators, namely China Mobile (0941.HK; CHL.NYSE) and China Unicom (600050.SH; 0762.HK; CHU.NYSE). (Edited by Li Xiaoyu, )
